Transportation

This part of Nanaimo is very car friendly. Parking is easy. In contrast, residents using public transit may find few options in Departure Bay as a result of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, residents have access to a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. The bicycle is a somewhat poor means of transportation in this part of Nanaimo as bicycle riders are faced with a considerable amount of hills, and the cycling infrastructure is not especially well-developed.
