Windridge

Windridge is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the favoured way to navigate this area. Nearby highways are fairly easy to drive to from anywhere in Windridge, and it is straightforward to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in Windridge is not especially frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. Cycling is easy in Windridge. This part of District of North Vancouver is not particularly convenient for pedestrians as few common errands can be run without a vehicle.

Services

It is straightforward to get to the nearest grocery store as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in Windridge. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. As far as education is concerned, daycares and schools are straightforward to access without a vehicle from anywhere in this part of District of North Vancouver.

Character

Windridge offers an excellent selection of green spaces to enjoy. Getting to public green spaces from many locations within the neighbourhood, including McCartney Creek Park and Maplewood Conservation Area, is very easy since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to check out. Finally, as there are very few people out and about on the streets, this part of the municipality is relatively quiet.

Housing

There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this neighbourhood. About three quarters of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. About 45% of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 2000s.
