The neighbourhood of Cedar Village is part of the city of City of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


The favoured transportation option in Cedar Village is very often driving. It is a very short drive to the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any location in this neighbourhood, and parking is generally easy. In contrast, Cedar Village is not very transit friendly. Travelling by bicycle is very difficult in Cedar Village since bicycling is rendered strenuous by the often hilly terrain, and the cycling infrastructure is quite bad. Walking is also not very popular in this area, even though many common errands can be run on foot.


House buyers in this part of the city commonly need a car to do grocery shopping. Nevertheless, pharmacies are typically easy to reach on foot and provide some staple foods. As far as education is concerned, it is a short walk to get to daycares and schools from most houses for sale in this neighbourhood.


The character of Cedar Village is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. Green spaces are very well-distributed and there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out, which results in them being very easy to access from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood. This part of City of North Vancouver is also good for those who like quiet surroundings, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.


In Cedar Village, around half of buildings are single detached homes, while duplexes and townhouses are the main housing types in the rest of the housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood happened in the 1960s and 1970s. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this area. Around 80% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented.
