Transportation

Marquis is an extremely convenient part of Edmonton for driving. Parking is generally easy. This neighbourhood is not very conducive to those who prefer to get around on foot as almost no common errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. Commuting by bicycle is also difficult in Marquis as there are a fair number of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is quite bad.

With regards to eating, in the majority of cases, a vehicle is required to purchase groceries. A small number of restaurants can be found in this part of Edmonton as well.

Character

Marquis is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. Most areas in Marquis are very quiet, as the streets are generally very peaceful. Parks aren't well-located, which makes them occasionally challenging to access. Despite that, there are approximately 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to relax in.

Housing

About 30% of homes in Marquis were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. About 70% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. This part of Edmonton is notable for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
