The neighbourhood of Westgate is part of the city of Calgary, Alberta, which is located in the Greater Calgary metropolitan area.


Westgate is a fairly good part of Calgary for driving. It is very easy to park. On the other hand, public transit users may have limited options in Westgate due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, it is convenient to reach a nearby rapid transit station, including 45th Street Station on the 202 | Blue Line - Saddletowne/69 Street CTrain, from the bulk of residences in the neighbourhood. Homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Westgate is not very suited for bicycling because. Thankfully, cyclists do not face significant elevation changes. There are also relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Westgate, even though many common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.
