Parking is easy, and the majority of real estate listings are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute 640. In contrast, getting around by public transit is difficult in Terrebonne. Nevertheless, there are around 40 bus lines passing through the borough, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Travelling on foot is not very practical for house buyers in this area as running common errands is challenging.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools and daycares from any location in Terrebonne. However, families may consider it challenging to get to high schools as a pedestrian. Residents can enjoy over 100 restaurants and cafes as well.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a calm atmosphere will enjoy Terrebonne. Greenery is not particularly present in this part of the city; to be more specific, residents will find that there are few tree-lined streets. However, there are over 50 parks nearby for residents to discover, which makes it easy to get to them. The noise levels in this borough are also low, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case closer to the railway line, Autoroute 640 or Autoroute 25.

Housing

Around one third of properties in Terrebonne were built following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. In this part of the city, around 55% of dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Homeowners occupy about three quarters of the properties in the borough whereas renters occupy the remainder. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
