Character

Saint-Michel is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this part of Montréal. Even though the atmosphere is not the most lively in this neighbourhood, the vibe is still quite dynamic around its busier streets, and places to go out at night are well-distributed throughout the area. Saint-Michel is good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic, although that is not the case around the railway line or Autoroute Métropolitaine. The greenery in this neighbourhood is not especially prominent; more specifically, residents will find that there are few tree-lined streets.
