The neighbourhood of HoMa South can be found in the city of Montréal, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

HoMa South will appeal to homeowners that value a variety of methods of transportation. Homeowners can count on public transit to navigate this part of the city as a consequence of 2 rapid transit stations (Assomption Station and Viau Station) on the Ligne 1 - Verte, and about 20 nearby bus lines. However, traveling as a pedestrian is not very popular in this area, although many daily needs can be carried out without a vehicle. This neighbourhood will draw active house buyers because it is suitable for bicycling. More precisely, bicycling is facilitated by the generally flat terrain. The best way to navigate this part of Montréal is very often driving. Many houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Autoroute 25, and it is easy to come across a parking spot.

Daycares and schools are convenient to reach as a pedestrian from any location in HoMa South. As far as food is concerned, the closest grocery store in this neighbourhood is usually only a short trip away. On the other hand, this part of the city features a very small amount of greenery; however, there are around 30 public green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, such as Parc Champêtre and Parc Saint-Donat, and they are especially well-distributed, which makes them easy to reach.

Housing

The majority of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in HoMa South, but duplexes and single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. This part of Montréal experienced its most significant construction boom pre-1960, so most of the available properties are from this era. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood rent their home and the rest are owners.
