Transportation

Forest Glade is very car friendly. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as E C Row Expressway, and it is easy to access a place to park. In contrast, the public transit network in Forest Glade is not very convenient. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Forest Glade is amenable to biking as there are a limited number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave. In contrast, traveling as a pedestrian in this neighbourhood is not very popular, even though many common errands can be run without a car.

Services

It is straightforward to reach the closest supermarket as a pedestrian in Forest Glade. Moreover, this part of Windsor is a fairly good place in which to eat out, and a small selection of coffee shops is available as well. As far as education is concerned, parents and their children will value that wherever their property is situated in Forest Glade, primary schools and daycares are nearby. In contrast, it can be challenging to reach high schools as a pedestrian.

Character

Forest Glade is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. The noise levels in this area are very low, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue around E C Row Expressway or one of the railway lines. Lastly, it is easy to reach public green spaces from numerous locations in the neighbourhood since there are about 20 of them close by for residents to visit.

Housing

Around 45% of dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Forest Glade, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This part of Windsor offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. About two thirds of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented. This area experienced its most significant building boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this era.
