The neighbourhood of Lexington is part of the city of Waterloo, Ontario, which is located in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.

Transportation

Lexington is very car friendly. Nearby highways are very easy to access from any location in this neighbourhood, and it is convenient to park. In contrast, the public transit service in Lexington is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are generally around the corner. Cycling is easy in this part of the city as the bicycling network is fairly good. Lexington is not particularly well-suited for people who like to travel by walking as few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

It is a short stroll to get to daycares and primary schools from anywhere in this neighbourhood. In contrast, this part of the city does not have any high schools. In terms of food, it is very difficult to get to the nearest supermarket on foot in this neighbourhood. Furthermore, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of choices, and a limited variety of cafes is available as well.

Character

The character of Lexington is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. Most areas in this part of Waterloo are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
