The neighbourhood of Islington Woods can be found in the city of Vaughan, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


The car is usually the best mode of transportation in Islington Woods. It is especially convenient to park. However, this part of Vaughan is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is usually just around the corner. The bike is a reasonably good means of transportation in Islington Woods because the cycling infrastructure is quite extensive. It is challenging for people walking to move around in this part of the city because few daily errands can be run on foot.


A fraction of home buyers in this neighbourhood may be able to travel to the nearest grocery store on foot, while others will have to turn to a vehicle. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this neighbourhood. Nearly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the remainder are rented. However this area is notable for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
