The neighbourhood of St. Andrew is part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

St. Andrew provides home buyers with several alternative methods of transportation. The public transit service in this area is very good. More specifically, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is generally just around the corner. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of Toronto are located in places that are also reasonably well-suited for walking; many daily needs are easy to carry out on foot. St. Andrew is not very conducive to biking as there is a considerable amount of hills, and the bicycling network is rather poor.

Services

Families will value that wherever their home is located in St. Andrew, daycares and schools are close by. In terms of food, the closest supermarket in St. Andrew is usually only a reasonably short walk away. Likewise, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and residents are served by a few cafes as well.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy St. Andrew. This area is good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case around Highway 401. Finally, greenery is especially prominent in this area; there are about 10 parks nearby for residents to unwind in, including Windfields Park and St. Andrews Park, making them very easy to access. Residents will also find that the tree canopy coverage for numerous streets is wonderful.

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing roughly 80% of dwellings in St. Andrew, but large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock.
