The neighbourhood of Port Union can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


The public transit system in Port Union is quite convenient. The neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. On the other hand, this part of the city is not particularly bike-friendly as cyclists encounter a significant amount of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is rather limited. Port Union is not especially suitable for those who travel by foot as common errands are sometimes challenging to run without needing to use a car. However, the car is very often the favoured approach to move around in this neighbourhood. It is straightforward to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are quite easy to drive to from anywhere in this neighbourhood.

With regards to education, parents and their children will welcome the proximity to both primary and secondary schools, which are within walking distance from the majority of homes for sale in this part of the city. On the other hand, parents and their schoolchildren may consider it difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian.
