Transportation

Thanks to a few nearby bus lines, residents can depend on public transit to navigate Village East. However, walking in this area is not very popular, despite the fact that many daily needs can be met without the use of a car. Village East is not very bike-friendly as the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and the terrain is not particularly flat. However, the car is very often the favoured transportation option in this part of the city. It is very convenient to come across a place to park, and nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are very easy to reach from any location in Village East.

Services

The closest supermarket in Village East is typically only a short walk away. Furthermore, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. Property owners can find a good number of nearby clothing stores. Regarding education, parents and their kids will appreciate that wherever their home is located in this part of the city, daycares and primary schools are close by. However, this part of Pickering does not have any high schools.

Character
