Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Lakeview is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

No matter the medium of transportation, it is simple to travel in this neighbourhood. This neighbourhood is an extraordinarily convenient part of Mississauga for moving around by car. The majority of properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, and it is especially convenient to park. With a few nearby bus lines, the public transit network in this neighbourhood is also fairly good. Walking is not very common in this area, although meeting day-to-day needs is easy on foot. In contrast, Lakeview is amenable to cycling as the bicycling network is reasonably well-developed.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to access primary schools and daycares from anywhere in Lakeview. On the other hand, parents and their children may find it difficult to reach high schools as a pedestrian. When it comes to eating, it is convenient to access the nearest grocery store on foot from any home in Lakeview. Additionally, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of opportunities, and there are also a few coffee shops in Lakeview.

Character

Lakeview offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several noisier sections, especially around Queen Elizabeth Way or the railway line. Lastly, green spaces, like Cawthra Park and Etobicoke Valley Park, are very well-spread out and there are about 20 of them close by for residents to discover, which makes it easy to reach them.

Housing

About 70% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas renters occupy the remainder. In this neighbourhood, roughly half of dwellings are single detached homes, but large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. About 40% of properties in this part of the city were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
