The neighbourhood of Gateway can be found in the city of Mississauga, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


Driving is an excellent transportation option in Gateway. It is very convenient to park, and most real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 401. The public transit network in Gateway is also reasonably good owing to around 10 nearby bus lines. This area is not very amenable to bicycling since there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. Gateway is also not very suitable for walking as many day-to-day needs are sometimes challenging to carry out on foot.


Accessing one of approximately 10 grocery stores by walking is possible for some, but not all, house buyers in Gateway. On the other hand, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a good number of opportunities, and there are also about 10 cafes in Gateway. As far as education is concerned, high schools and primary schools are not especially numerous in Gateway, and thus not always within walking distance. Likewise, it can be difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian.


There is a wide selection of green spaces in Gateway. There are approximately 10 public green spaces close by for residents to explore, including Dunton Athletic Fields and Danville Park, and they are very well-located, which makes it easy to reach them. Finally, as there are very few people out and about on the streets, this neighbourhood is relatively calm.


In Gateway, roughly half of dwellings are single detached homes, while townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood has occurred after the year 2000. This part of the city offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 10% are renters.
