Buttonville is a neighbourhood within Markham, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


Buttonville is very car friendly. It is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and coming across a place to park is quite easy. However, the public transit system in Buttonville is sometimes poor. Nonetheless, the nearest rapid transit station, such as Hwy 7 / Woodbine, Hwy 7 / Allstate and Hwy 7 / Montgomery with access to the purple | VIVA PURPLE, is generally relatively close by from the majority of residences in the neighbourhood. Homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Buttonville is not very suited for cycling because the cycling network is not very extensive, and bicycling is rendered difficult by the typically steep area. Travelling by foot is also not very popular in this part of the city, even though most daily needs are convenient to carry out by walking.


A grocery store is generally accessible within a rather short walk from any home in Buttonville.
