Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, West Oakville is a neighbourhood within Oakville, Ontario.


Getting around by car is very convenient in this part of Oakville. It is very convenient to find a place to park, and it is a rather short drive to the nearest highway from any location in West Oakville. In contrast, this part of the town is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. Travelling by foot is not very popular in this area, although meeting daily needs is convenient. West Oakville is also not very cycling-friendly since the terrain is not especially flat, and the cycling network is fairly poor.


In West Oakville, families will usually be able to reach daycares and primary schools by walking. In contrast, West Oakville does not contain any high schools.
