Trafalgar

The neighbourhood of Trafalgar can be found in the town of Milton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Trafalgar is especially car friendly. It is especially convenient to come across a place to park, and the majority of homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 407. On the other hand, residents using public transit may have very few options in Trafalgar by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood. This area is not very convenient for walking because very few common errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. The bicycle is a fairly poor means of transportation in this part of Milton as the topography is not particularly flat, and the bicycling network is not very comprehensive.

Services

In all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required in Trafalgar to access the closest supermarket. There are also a few opportunities for those who value close by restaurants. With regards to education, Trafalgar does not have any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, daycares are not plentiful and therefore not always within walking distance.

Character

Trafalgar remains relatively serene, due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets. Green spaces are distributed sporadically, which results in them being sometimes difficult to access from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood. Still, there are a few parks close by for residents to check out.

Housing

The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Trafalgar is an important part of its character. Roughly one third of properties in this part of Milton were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 85% of the dwellings in Trafalgar while renters occupy the remainder.
