Northeast

Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Northeast is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

House buyers can rely on public transit to navigate Northeast. There is the Malton Station on the Kitchener Line. House owners are served by a multitude of rapid transit stations with access to the 109 | Meadowvale Express. The neighbourhood is connected by around 30 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. On the other hand, it is challenging to commute by bike in Northeast because there are quite a few hills, and the bicycling network is rather poor. Most homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not very well-suited for walking because few common errands can be run without having to resort to a car. However, Northeast is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to come across a place to park, and many real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 401.

Services

It can be difficult to walk to high schools and primary schools from homes for sale in Northeast. Moreover, parents and their children may find it difficult to access daycares as a pedestrian. With regards to eating, the nearest supermarket in Northeast is typically only a reasonably short walk away. Residents benefit from over 150 restaurants and cafes as well.

Character

Finally, since there are very few people out and about on the streets, this part of Mississauga is relatively calm.

In Northeast, about 45% of dwellings are townhouses, while large apartment buildings and single detached homes are also present in the housing stock. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 30% are renters. This part of Mississauga did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new homes in Northeast was spread throughout multiple decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century.
