Madoc is a neighbourhood within Brampton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

It is easy to get around by bicycle in Madoc because the cycling infrastructure is very extensive. Walking is also practical for residents in this area; running daily errands is convenient on foot. Madoc is very car friendly. It is a short drive to the closest highway, such as Highway 410, from any home in this part of Brampton, and it is convenient to access a place to park. However, getting around by transit can be sometimes difficult in this neighbourhood as a result of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences.

Services

The nearest supermarket in Madoc is usually only a reasonably short walk away. Likewise, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and a small variety of coffee shops is available as well. Madoc is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment. This area is also reasonably good for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case close to Highway 410.
