The neighbourhood of Downtown Ajax is part of the town of Ajax, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


Downtown will appeal to active people as it is reasonably convenient for those who travel by foot; many common errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle. On the other hand, cycling is challenging in Downtown as the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and riding is made difficult by the often sloping terrain.
