Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Cedardale is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia.


Cedardale is quite conducive to those who travel by foot; meeting daily needs is convenient on foot. On the other hand, it is very difficult to get around by bicycle in Cedardale since the cycling network is not very well-developed, and there is a significant amount of hills. Cedardale is not especially transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. In contrast, driving is an excellent transportation option in Cedardale. Many properties for sale are a short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is very convenient to come across a place to park.


Property owners in Cedardale will value that a grocery store is always only a rather short walk away. Additionally, Cedardale is a good place in which to go out to eat. With respect to education, primary schools and daycares are very easy to access on foot from anywhere in this area. On the other hand, Cedardale does not have any high schools.


Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Cedardale. Public green spaces are very well-spread out and there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to explore, making it very easy to get to them. Lastly, as there are few people out and about on the streets, this neighbourhood remains relatively quiet; however there can be more noise for those who are near Trans-Canada Highway.


Roughly 30% of buildings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Cedardale, while the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and single detached homes. About one quarter of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1990s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and two bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 70% of the properties in Cedardale while the remainder are rented.
