Upper Lynn

The neighbourhood of Upper Lynn is part of the municipality of District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


Upper Lynn is especially car friendly. Finding a place to park is quite easy. However, commuting by transit can be difficult in Upper Lynn due to the low service level. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. It is impractical for pedestrians to get around in this neighbourhood since carrying out daily needs is inconvenient by walking. Upper Lynn is also not very appropriate for bicycling because there are quite a few elevation changes, and there are few bike lanes.


A vehicle is typically required in this part of District of North Vancouver to reach the nearest supermarket. When it comes to education, daycares and primary schools are convenient to walk to from most homes for sale in this area. However, Upper Lynn does not contain any high schools.


The character of Upper Lynn is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of the municipality are very low, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, there are about 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, including Greenbelt and Lynn Canyon Park, resulting in them being very easy to get to from many locations in the neighbourhood.


In Upper Lynn, most buildings are single detached homes, but duplexes are also present in the housing stock. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this part of the municipality. Around 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place between 1960 and 1980.
