Upper Delbrook

Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Upper Delbrook is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia.


Cars are an excellent transportation option in Upper Delbrook. Many real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, and parking is easy. However, residents using public transit may experience few choices in Upper Delbrook as a result of the infrequent service. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. This neighbourhood is not particularly suitable for those who travel by foot since few common errands can be run on foot. Upper Delbrook is also not very cycling-friendly since the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there is a significant amount of slopes.


Daycares are easy to get to on foot from anywhere in this neighbourhood. In contrast, Upper Delbrook does not contain any primary schools or high schools. As far as food is concerned, the closest grocery store in this neighbourhood is usually only a rather short walk away.


Upper Delbrook offers a relaxed ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This part of District of North Vancouver is especially quiet overall, as the streets are usually very calm. Finally, the majority of locations in the neighbourhood have fairly good access to public green spaces, like Mosquito Creek Park and St Albans Park, since there are a few of them close by for residents to visit.


Around 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the remainder are renters. The predominant housing types in this part of the municipality are single detached homes and townhouses. Roughly half of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
