Windsor Park

Windsor Park is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


The preferred method to navigate this part of the municipality is very often a car. The majority of properties for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and it is especially convenient to park. However, residents using public transit may experience few options in this part of the municipality due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, property owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. Windsor Park is not very conducive to walking as very few daily needs can be met on foot. This part of the municipality is also not very suited for bicycling because there are few bike lanes, and riding is rendered strenuous by the typically sloping area.


The closest supermarket in this part of the municipality is typically only a rather short walk away. Regarding education, schools and daycares are easy to get to on foot from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood.


Windsor Park is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. This area is reasonably quiet, as the streets are generally peaceful. Lastly, green spaces are very well-spread out and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, resulting in them being very easy to reach from numerous locations within this neighbourhood.


In Windsor Park, many dwellings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 85% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 15% are rented. Roughly two thirds of the homes in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960.
