The neighbourhood of Suncrest is part of the city of Burnaby, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


Suncrest affords house buyers several alternative means of transportation. Owing to a few nearby bus lines, Suncrest is reasonably transit friendly. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are also suitable for walking; many common errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle. Suncrest is not very cycling-friendly as there is a considerable amount of hills. Nevertheless, the bicycling infrastructure is quite well-developed.


The nearest supermarket in Suncrest is usually only a rather short walk away. In addition, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and property owners benefit from a few cafes as well. With respect to education, it is a reasonably short walk to reach daycares and primary schools from anywhere in Suncrest. On the other hand, Suncrest does not have any high schools.


Suncrest offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. The noise levels in this area are quite low, as the streets are usually reasonably calm. Finally, public green spaces, including Kaymar Creek Ravine Park, are very well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, which makes them very easy to reach.


Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around 70% of buildings in Suncrest, and the remaining properties are mainly duplexes. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood occurred prior to the 1960s. This part of the city offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Around 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 20% are renters.
