Part of the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area, Parkdale is a neighbourhood within Edmonton, Alberta.

Transportation

Parkdale provides homeowners with several alternative means of transportation. Thanks to plenty of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Route 512, and a few nearby bus lines, the good public transit infrastructure makes transit a viable option for many. Parkdale is also well-suited for those who travel by foot; many daily needs can be met on foot, and a variety of businesses are reasonably nearby. This area is cycling-friendly since bicycling is facilitated by the generally flat terrain, and Parkdale features a great cycling infrastructure.

Services

It is usually practical for property owners in this part of the city to buy general and specialty groceries by walking. Furthermore, there is often a restaurant or cafe just around the corner, for instance on 118th Avenue Northwest. A decent selection of clothing stores can also be found within a rather short walking distance. Concerning education, in Parkdale, families will usually be able to access primary schools and daycares by walking. On the other hand, Parkdale does not contain any high schools.

Character

The character of Parkdale is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere.
