Part of the Greater Calgary metropolitan area, South Calgary is a neighbourhood within Calgary, Alberta.

Transportation

South Calgary does not demand driving as various other means of transportation are at the disposal of home buyers. A majority of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are suitable for walking; meeting daily needs is easy, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. On the other hand, commuting by bicycle is difficult in this part of Calgary as. Nevertheless, it is an even ride to most locations. This neighbourhood benefits from a good public transit infrastructure as a result of a few nearby bus lines. However, South Calgary is not particularly car friendly as it is a very long drive to the closest highway from any location in this part of Calgary, and it is occasionally difficult to park.
